To get utilities started within the Town of Thatcher there is an $80 deposit and a $10 connect fee. A completed application and copy of a picture I.D. is required as well. Currently we accept cash, checks and credit or debit cards as methods for payment. To use a credit or debit card a $3.00 service fee will apply.
Connecting Residential Utilities
Step 1: Read and fill out an Application for Utilities.
Step 2: Attach copy of photo I.D. (Driver's license) for all applicants listed on application.
Step 3: Submit Application & Copies
or in person at Town Hall, 3700 W Main St. Thatcher.
Step 4: Pay applicable fees: Electric deposit $80.00 + Connect fee $10.00
When a tenant vacates your rental property and terminates their utility account, the services are normally shut off. However, you may want to keep the utilities on for many reasons, including servicing the property to prepare for the next tenant. By filling out our Landlord Service Application you can have the utilities remain active and automatically reverted back to your name. Landlord service applications can be returned to the utility office at Town Hall.
Bills are always due by the last day of the month. If the due date falls on a weekend (Friday, Saturday or Sunday) any payments that are paid in the morning on the next open business day or that are left in the drop box over the weekend will be considered paid on time. After the last day, a late fee will be assessed. As stated on the bill, failure to receive the bill does not relieve consumer of payment or penalty. The Town of Thatcher offers a variety of ways to pay your utility bill.
In office: You can pay in our office located at 3700 W Main St. We accept cash, checks, money orders and credit/debit cards (a $3.00 convenience fee will apply).
Call us: To make payments over the phone with your credit/debit card please call Town Hall at 928-428-2290 (a $3.00 convenience fee will apply).
Automatic Withdrawal: We can setup automatic payments through your checking account. Please contact Town Hall if you would like to have your utility bill set up on automatic withdrawal.
Drive-thru: We have a drive-thru window located on the west side of our office. Window hours are 7:00am to 6:00pm
Drop box: We have a drop box located next to our drive-thru window that can be accessed at anytime. We ask that you do not put cash in the drop box.
Online: To pay online, please register with Xpress Bill Pay. You will need your utility account number during the registration process. New utility accounts will not be able available to view/pay until after the account has gone through its first billing cycle.
Trash pick up times my vary from time to time do to unforeseen circumstances. In order to avoid trash cans being skipped or uncollected we recommend that residents put their cans out the previous night or before 4:00 a.m. on your scheduled pick up days.
